Trust and Security for Spatial Messaging
نویسنده
چکیده
Spatial messaging is a term that defines the virtual publication of data in physical places. Anyone in the neighborhood of such a publication point gets the message. Architectures allowing users to publish freely spatial messages already exist. However, experiences realized with volunteers showed that there is only little interest in posting such notes. To our view, the main reason is that there is currently no trust mechanism which informs about the reliability of the messages, thus preventing any serious application. Filling this gap will promote the success of spatial messaging, and the growing success of localization and mobile techniques will provide a good support for this concept. After a general presentation conducted by hypothetical scenarios to show the potential impact of spatial messaging, we will discuss how to build a trust model, and propose a first move to a concrete architecture.

متن کاملP2P Network Trust Management Survey
Peer-to-peer applications (P2P) are no longer limited to home users, and start being accepted in academic and corporate environments. While file sharing and instant messaging applications are the most traditional examples, they are no longer the only ones benefiting from the potential advantages of P2P networks. For example, network file storage, data transmission, distributed computing, and co...
متن کاملDevelopment of Measurable Security for a Distributed Messaging System
Systematically developed security metrics make it possible to gather sufficient and credible security evidence for runtime adaptive security management and off-line security engineering and management. This study introduces and analyzes security metrics and parameter dependencies for one particular distributed messaging system. The focus is on the effectiveness and correctness of security-enfor...
متن کاملModelling Security Web Services for Monitoring and Replication
In the paper we address the trustworthiness of computational engineering distributed systems based on semantic web services. We present a security model with three components: web service messaging, monitoring and replication. Web service messaging has well standardized scenarios that we use as a foundation of our work oriented to trust monitoring and replication control. The model incorporate ...
متن کاملSelf-Healing and Secure Adaptive Messaging Middleware for Business-Critical Systems
Current business-critical systems have stringent requirements for the significant and measurable increase in the end-to-end intelligence, security, scalability, self-adaptation and resilience. Existing state-of-the-art messaging systems achieve arbitrary resilience by a brute-force approach. Selfhealing is either rudimentary or non-existent. In this study we present a self-healing and secure ad...
